When you have a medical condition (chemotherapy treatments, diabetic foot neuropathy) you must be especially cautious about your artist and about the ingredients being used. Pre-made Mehndi cones that come from the Indian store, or are bought on vacation/visits to India or purchased at a book/toy store should NEVER be used on chemo patients, during pregnancy or for people with allergies. Pre-coned henna paste ("Emergency Mehndi") is full of dangerous ingredients and is a health hazard. Please see the FAQ and 'Black henna' warnings pages. Henna mixed specifically for clients undergoing Chemotherapy is a different formula than the henna used for the regular body art due to the additional sensitivities that the treatments can create. Individuals with health issues, sensitivity or at risk should always be ensuring that the services that are receiving are from professionals who understand what is in their paste and how it affects their specific issue.
